I-Pod

Braden found my I-Pod today and asked if he could listen to it. He figured out how to work it right away and then continue to bop around the house to the music for about an hour. He seems to really like Matchbox 20, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson. He did not care for Enya or any other slow music. He even sat and ate dinner while dancing in his chair (surprisingly calmly). It was peaceful (and pretty cute) so I allowed him to do it at the dinner table.

Waterfront Festival

This weekend was the waterfront festival in Anacortes. The best part of this every year is the boat building.
They have wooden boat pieces and the kids get to glue and nail them together and pick out a sail. It is very fun! Mom was proud that she could make the boats without dad, since dad had to be gone at a tennis tournament. A big thank you to Grandma Marge for helping us out on our adventure!

After you finish building your fabulous boat creation, you get to go try it out in the "ocean". Conner's did not float very well this year (luckily we had balloons as a distraction) but Braden's turned out to be very sea worthy.
Conner even ran in to his little girl friend Olivia. They greet each other with a big hug everytime they see each other.

Braden ran into his friend Ryan who made himself a pirate ship this year.

We finished off the day with a trip to Read Me a Story and McDonalds with Grandma. It was a great day!

Sports Helmets

We figured with the poor economy we should look for ways to save money. The kids thought they would help and they found their Easter baskets also doubles as great helmets.
